The ease of working with CDM has been created by excellent communication and detailed correspondence so everyone knows where the project is at and where to in the future. Regular onsite meetings involves all parties and covers all matters from schedule timing, to new additional items requested by our team, through to issues discovered during the refurbishing or building stage.
The regular comment I receive from our team when having CDM working onsite is how their business is uninterrupted by having workman around the premises and how clean the site remains on a daily basis. CDM recognise times when noise has to be kept to a minimum but work outside normal times to do the big items where needed.

Like anything in business, the key for fit-out and renovating to me is on time and on budget. When I started the fit-out for Browns Bay Dental Centre, CDM came highly recommended through a colleague and they delivered not just that but much more. As a dental professional, I don’t recommend people doing DIY dentistry on their teeth. Being a novice for building and renovating, why not let the professionals build and manage the project for you.
To begin with, CDM guided me through the whole process from budgeting, planning to building and construction. Whether the build is budget or upscale, simple or sophisticated, it doesn’t matter. The key is CDM will work with you to set a realistic goal and expectation to realise your dream. As true professionals, CDM are meticulous with the management and build. Once CDM have helped you through design, resource and building consent, they then set out a clear timetable for the build. CDM liaises with contractors to ensure they are on site, on time and finish to the spec. Whenever there is a concern, the only person you need to talk to is the CDM Project manager and they will get it sorted. From a communication point of view, it cannot be simpler than that. Some people will attempt to manage a build like this, without considering how much personal time is wasted and knowledge is required.
Another important reason I went with CDM is their vast experience relating to dental practice fit out. From practice design, resource consent, medical/dental fit-out, to specific design related to plumbing, waste and electrical, they have all the right knowledge and skills for the job. The quality of build is important as it gives our patients a sense of the quality of the care they are going to receive as soon as they step in the door. This also provides staff an efficient, comfortable and enjoyable working environment. The resulting fit-out is beautifully constructed with so much attention paid to the details of finish and quality of workmanship. The most satisfying aspect to me is the fit-out finished on time and on budget. If anyone endeavors to start a fit-out project, I highly recommend that you have a chat with the team at CDM. Having your team commit to this undertaking was a massive challenge and with so many telling me that I was asking a lot within the timeframe to do this was simply outstanding.
Seven days to reshape and almost rebuild the restaurant and bar then to have it open by 5pm showed me that we went with the right company and I’m grateful that it all feel into place.
