Barfoot & Thompson - Waiku

A building with a very low seismic rating, meant that a basic interior fit-out was not achievable.  Our works commenced with interior layout design concepts, moving through resource, building consents, engineering documentation and design.  Our client chose to extend the back of the building, installing a basement below part of the existing premises, which involved working and un-pinning the structure of the neighbouring building.  The building was then completely stripped back, removing the full roofing structure and simply building a new timber structure inside of the existing building and tying the old building structure to this new seismically approved one.

The construction of the interior fit-out then commenced, with full installation of all of the required furniture and technology required by our client, completing the works and adding another fantastic premise for our client’s operations.
