Barfoot & Thompson Otahuhu

CDM relocated the Barfoot & Thomspon Otahuhu team from a temporary branch into a new, prominent corner site, creating a space that reflects both the brand and the local community. Inspired by Otahuhu’s honest, working-class character, the design uses simple, durable materials to deliver a warm, practical and grounded environment suited to a busy real estate office.

A subtle narrative of connection and diversity runs through the space, expressed in the woven pattern of the reception counter and kitchen splashback – symbolizing paths meeting and communities coming together. Warm natural finishes are balanced with cooler brand-aligned tones, while an exposed ceiling in the open-plan office reinforces the area’s industrial feel. The result is a welcoming, authentic branch with strong street presence and lasting character.
